Dice and dice games goes all the way back to the Crusades, but current craps is approximately one hundred years old. Modern craps come about from the 12th Century Anglo game referred to as Hazard. Early French colonizers brought the game Hazard to Nova Scotia. In the 1700s, when expelled by the English, the French moved south and found refuge in southern Louisiana where they after a while became known as Cajuns.
